Your profile

View your profile

To view your profile:

  1. Log in to the CMP.

  2. Select your account name in the upper-right corner of the top navigation menu, and then select your name from the drop-down menu.

    This will open your Users page, which consists of four sections: Profile, Permissions, Notifications, and API.

Edit profile information

You can edit the following information on the Profile page:

  • First Name, Last Name: Your display name in the CMP.

  • Job Function: Account admins can use job function to help manage your organization.

  • Phone Number: Your international dialing code and local number.

  • Default Dashboard: The default dashboard when you log in.

Changes made to any field on this page will be automatically saved by the CMP.


Admins or users with the Users Manager permission can edit any user profile.


To view your role and the associated permissions, select Permissions from the left-hand sidebar.

The Permissions page includes the following information:

  • Your currently assigned role
  • A list of your role entitlements (aka. permissions)
  • A list of your assigned billing profiles

Admins or users with the Users Manager permission can edit user roles.

Admins or users with the Billing Profile Admin permission can manage assigned billing profiles.

Notification preferences

To edit your notification preferences, select Notifications from the left-hand sidebar.

Notification types

On the Notifications page, you can opt in or out of the following notification types:

  • New Invoices: We'll notify you every time there is a new invoice or adjustment.

  • Credits Utilization: We'll let you know on 75% of your Google Cloud or AWS credits and then again when they are fully exhausted.

  • Cloud Quota Utilization: Be notified every time one of your Google Cloud or AWS service quotas utilization is over 50%.

  • Cloud Cost Anomalies: We'll alert you when your cloud costs don't align with the anticipated spending (configurable with Threshold and Delta).

  • Payment Due/Overdue: Get automated updates when invoices are due and overdue.

    • We send the first reminder 7 days before an invoice is due.
    • We send the second reminder 4 days after the invoice's due date.
    • We send the third reminder 10 days after the invoice's due date.
  • Cloud Known Issues: Be aware of the known infrastructure issues with Google Cloud or Amazon Web Services ahead of time.

  • Daily and Monthly Digests: Receive a daily and monthly digest for your account, including spend vs. same period of the previous month (configurable with the Daily cost digest attributions).

    Use the Daily cost digest attributions input to specify the attributions to include in your daily and monthly digests.

Daily and monthly digests

If you select Daily and Monthly Digests, you will receive the following emails.

Daily digests: one email per selected attribution detailing:

  • Previous day's cost
  • Month to date cost (sum costs accrued in the current month)
  • Cost trend (current month cost to date vs. previous month costs for the same date)
  • Forecasted current month cost

We send daily digests at 06:00 UTC.

Monthly digests summarize your spend during the last month, including:

  • Comparisons
  • Trend analysis
  • List of savings derived from Flexsave, Spot Scaling, and Commitment contracts
  • List of tickets resolved during the last month

We send monthly digests on the 3rd day of each month following the month in which you enabled the Daily and Monthly Digests notification.

Default notifications

New users are assigned default notifications tailored to their assigned role. These notifications ensure that users are informed about important events related to their job function.

API key

You need an API key to use the Cloud Management Platform API. To manage your API key, select API from the left-hand sidebar.

To generate a new API key, select Generate Key.


After generating your API key, copy and store it. It will not be displayed again in the CMP once you leave the API page.

You can download your API key as a JSON file or copy it to your system clipboard, using the download or copy button in the lower-right corner of the API Key text box.

To delete your API key, select the Delete Key.
