AWS Lens

Having full visibility into your services' operations and being accountable for your cloud finances to fully manage costs is crucial, whether fixed or variable. Use the AWS Lens dashboard to decide how and when to optimize costs, monitor performance, and more.

Access AWS Lens dashboard​

The AWS Lens dashboard is automatically created when workloads are detected in your AWS accounts.

To access the AWS Lens dashboard, select Dashboard from the top navigation bar, and then select AWS Lens.

Widgets​

The AWS Lens dashboard consists of several preset report widgets that highlight various aspects of your AWS spend.

Note

Widgets on the dashboard are updated independently of each other. See Refresh report data for more information.

You can Open full report to check the report configuration or customize the preset report to create your own one.

Spend History​

AWS spend history.

Shows a high-level view of your AWS spend in the last 12 months with forecast for the next 12 months. It's an aggregated view of your usage trend and the associated cost across your organization.

Report configuration:

  • Metric: Cost
  • Aggregation: Total
  • Advanced Analysis: Forecast
  • Time Interval: Month
  • Time Range: Last 12 months
  • Filters:
    • Metric filter: Cost > US$0.00
    • Cost type: is not one of Credit or Credit Adjustment

Cost By Service​

Cost By Service report widget

Shows the top 10 Amazon Web Services by cost in the last six months across all your AWS accounts. It allows you to quickly identify the usage patterns of top services and unusual costs that you may want to investigate.

Report configuration:

  • Metric: Cost
  • Aggregation: Total
  • Time Interval: Month
  • Time Range: Last 6 months
  • Group by: Service
  • Filters:
    • Metric filter: Cost not between -US$1.00 AND US$1.00
    • Top/bottom results: Service—Limit to top 10 by cost
    • Cloud: equals Amazon Web Services
    • Cost type: is not one of Credit or Credit Adjustment

Cost By Top AWS Accounts​

Shows the top AWS accounts by cost in the last six months.

Report configuration:

  • Group by: Project/Account ID
  • Filters:

Cost By Region​
